So, my fracture occurred Saturday, which is abhorrent because how have I gone from zero fractures in 20+ years to 2:2? I'm writing it off as bad luck for now (because both involved impacts against sharp corner edges with nothing to grab for balance, and in the latter case, a completely soft fall in the mud up until the damned brick - so in neither case was the incident suspicious in isolation.)
But if this happens again I'm going to start asking for investigation to possible underlying medical issues, like a Dexa scan or an evaluation of my balance. The doctors don't seem worried (statistics include that outliers happen and some people are going to be twice unlucky) but they're not the ones whose life gets paused. I am still so mad.
I'd been trying to cram maths review, as well as trig, precalc and calculus, biology, chemistry and anatomy. This is all on hold now for the most part because it is my right hand - I can't even begin to keep up on the notes.
I might try listening to them only and then revisit to take notes when the cast comes off?
The Access to Higher Education to QUB for nursing is next Friday, which suits fine. Since I can't work anyway.
